Fernando Alonso
Profile: Fiery and proud, Spaniard Fernando Alonso stands out as the most complete Formula 1 driver of his generation. With two world championships titles to his name in 2005 and 2006 - against the first-time retiring Michael Schumacher at the height of his power - Alonso has big shoes to fill at Scuderia Ferrari. With five wins to his name in 2010 and a championship runner-up and a nightmare 2007 season at dream-team McLaren to forget, the pressure is on Alonso to go one step further. A truly driven individual, Alonso is electrifying. More
Rubens Barrichello
Profile: At 39 years of age and over 300 races, Rubens Barrichello is the elder statesman of Formula 1. However, at a stage when many drivers begin to show signs of wear and tear, Rubinho's enthusiasm for the sport burns stronger than ever - no doubt reignited by a championship charge at Brawn. More
Jenson Button
Profile: In 2009, Jenson Button achieved his dream when he became F1 world champion. Now with 11 career race wins (up to and including Hungary 2011) he currently resides at Vodafone McLaren Mercedes with fellow Brit, Lewis Hamilton. However, just a few short years ago it was all so different - with no reprieve in sight. Now, Jenson can reflect on the past and smile. It's a long way to the top and he knows it. More
Louise Ellman
Profile: Liverpool Labour MP re-elected as chairman of Commons Transport Select Committe. Born in Manchester. She went to university in Hull and has also lived in Leeds, and is a subscriber to Judaism. More
Paul Gilson
Profile: Paul Gilson is a Thames Estuary fisherman, who can trace his fishing heritage back over 300 years, is worried about new London port development. He is also skipper of Endeavour - used in the D-Day landings - which was only recently discovered in a salvage yard and restored by local fishermen. More
Lewis Hamilton
Profile: In 2007, Lewis Hamilton ascended to Formula 1 in a flash of bright light - and by the end of 2008 had won his first World Championship, narrowly missing out on the coveted title in his maiden year due to a gearbox glitch at the final race in Brazil. Now, with four full seasons of experience, 16 career race wins - and his resurgent McLaren now capable of victories against the quick Red Bulls of Vettel and Webber - can he continue take the fight to his British team-mate, Jenson Button? Down to earth and super competitive, Hamilton makes for an incredible interview every time. More
Robert Kubica
Profile: Poland. It's not a nation traditionally known for producing top-flight Formula 1 drivers - until, that is, Robert Kubica made his debut for BMW-Sauber at Hungary in 2006. A no-nonsense character with the hunger to achieve, Kubica is revered throughout the paddock as - above all else - a racer. His breakthrough win at Canada in 2008 only proved what the rest of the sport had known, Kubica is the real deal. His move to Renault for 2010 was a revelation - and he firmly believes that they will take him to a world championship. More

Felipe Massa
Profile: Tenacious until the end, Felipe Massa's luck - or lack thereof - is astonishing. Having had the world championship snatched from him by Lewis Hamilton at the final corner of the final lap of the final race in 2008, Felipe was then severly injured by a wayward spring from the back of his countryman Barrichello's car during qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix - which put him out for the rest of the season. In 2010, Massa returned to battle against new team-mate Alonso - and take the fight to Red Bull and McLaren - and hasn't performed as expected. His new contract, until the end of 2012, shows Ferrari's faith in him, but does he have faith in himself? More
Nico Rosberg
Profile: Fluent in English, German, Italian, Spanish and French, Nico Rosberg is an intelligent racing driver - and super quick! The son of 1983 world champion, Keke, he rose through the ranks to take the GP2 championship in 2005 - taking the fastest lap and points on his Formula 1 debut in 2006 with an impressive seventh in Bahrain. Since then, a four year mediocre run with Williams somewhat dented his reputation - but his move to Mercedes for 2010, consistently outqualifying the seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher, did much to repair it. Quick-witted, quick-thinking and intelligent, Nico Rosberg is a dream to interview. More
Iain Sinclair

He describes himself as a british writer, documentarist, film maker, poet, flaneur, metropolitan prophet and urban shaman, keeper of lost cultures and futurologist. He also has an extensive TV career having starred in Clocking Off, Men Behaving Badly and Sorted. He also provides narration on the ITV1 series Cops With Cameras and BBC programme Sea Rescue. He is from Harrogate. More
Sebastian Vettel
Profile: It's a hype often given to particularly gifted young chargers, 'The next Schumacher' - and it's not often fulfilled, but in Sebastian Vettel's case, believe the hype. Much like Lewis Hamilton, Vettel made an impression from the moment he arrived - topping the timesheets for BMW-Sauber during Friday practice at the US Grand Prix while deputising for the injured Robert Kubica - and would, within months be racing for Scuderia Toro Rosso. After clinching an incredible win at the Italian Grand Prix the following year, Vettel joined sister team Red Bull Racing and the rest - as they say - is history. Engaging and honest, Vettel is the reigning world champion and almost certain to regain that crown this season. More
